Sundaes at Walsingham

Sundaes at Walsingham

It's day one at the Pilgrimage

Today the Sundaes travelled by mini bus to Walsingham, we had lovely weather on the drive up and now as I write this, it has turned slightly chilly with some cloud in the sky but no rain yet.

When we got on to our camp site we found out our tent had popped when Mary, Sarah and Aileen had been pumping it up. So we had to do some last minute surgery on the tent by making a prosthetic tent leg. Sophia then broke her chair and we had to screw the screw back into the chair leg.

So a few things we have done today are, we visited the café and we got our fetching dark navy blue t–shirts for this year, we have signed up for some of the activities this year so look forward to hearing about those on Wednesday, we have also got our slot for the night walk 10:50 - 11 on one night so we are looking forward to that. We have the same pitch as last year but they have changed the layout a bit. This year all the sections are named after angels and the café has ironically been turned into a Pokéstop with Pokémon all around it.

Leaders meeting and opening liturgy tonight followed by a barbeque and disco this evening. Sarah, Mary and Aileen are currently cooking dinner for us, whilst we are having a mini karaoke session.

One thing we have learnt is never come camping without duct tape. Also the boys from Chichester have invaded our campsite whilst playing football.
